The Federal Government is actively examining foreign influences on federally funded research. As a PI, you are responsible for promptly disclosing a foreign component when a significant scientific element or segment of the research is conducted outside of the U.S. and/or is supported by a foreign entity. You are also responsible for disclosing other sources of support for your entire research portfolio, even if that support is not through Washington University, or the research is not conducted at WU, or if the research is not related to your U.S. federally funded research

Washington University OnCore Expansion – Approximately three years ago, Siteman Cancer Center implemented the OnCore Clinical Trials Management System to streamline clinical trial operations and management. Last year, we began Phase II. This included optimization of OnCore financials to support industry-sponsor invoicing and integration with Epic to automate subject enrollment and support research billing compliance

New Human Subjects Regulations Now In Effect! The new regulations for human subjects research are now in effect. Referred to as the “2018 Common Rule,” these new regulations went into effect on January 21, 2019
